The ongoing war in Lebanon is causing immense suffering and disruption, leaving countless communities in desperate need of assistance. In Baissour alone, a small town in Mount Lebanon, there are already more the 600 displaced individuals sheltering in the public school and more than 500 families hosted in houses, and an equivalent number staying in private housing. Our initiative is to selectively channel funds to a team on the ground that can address the immediate needs of displaced families in Baissour. Your generous support is vital to our initiative to provide essential aid to those affected. The sooner you contribute, the more displaced families we can assist. We choose to work closely with local and trusted individuals (family members and close friends) in Baissour to ensure that funds are directed to the families who need assistance the most. On a daily basis, our team will be on-site visiting the displacement centers to evaluate the effectiveness of our support and maintain accountability. If the crisis intensifies and the displacement continues, we might branch out to support other locations/centers in different areas where we have contacts with trusted partners/teams. Finally, we are keeping the campaign open for the next few months in anticipation of growing needs and to sustain the supportsee more: https://www.simplygiving.com/appeal/the-caravan-drive-baissour

Imagine fleeing for your life, leaving behind everything you own—not even having clothes on your back. This is the devastating reality for countless families in Lebanon displaced by war. They’ve lost their homes, their belongings, and their dignity. They’re left with nothing—no food, no clothing, no shelter. Prices for basic necessities like sheets, mattresses, blankets, and even food have skyrocketed, making survival nearly impossible. Many are now taking shelter in schools we’ve opened for them, but the needs are immense. Mothers hold their babies with nothing to give them, families sleep on cold floors without blankets, and even worse, pregnant women and elderly people are suffering without access to crucial medication and care. They need more than just food and clothing—they need urgent medical supplies to survive.Your help can bring relief to these families. With your generosity, we can provide essentials like food, warm clothing, blankets, and life-saving medication for pregnant women and the elderly. Together, we can restore hope, dignity, and the support they need to survive and rebuild
