Helping others to get through such risk and difficulties is my purpose to start a page, it is to inspire others as well. Maybe this is my way of expressing myself or maybe a way of voicing out what I’ve experienced. Being abused by my stepmom for years has caused me trauma, because of it my childhood wasn’t great. If you’re wondering where my mom was, I was still a baby when my mom left me with my dad. I am now at my 17th turning 18 next year, sad to say but I’m still going through such drama with my family. I’ve already filed a case against my stepmom since I was 9, we’re going through trials now. Anyway, I am willing to start a page to help and present myself a model to inspire others. “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.” - John Wesley

Save the Children Philippines
Child malnutrition in the Philippines is the 9th highest in the world with 1 in 3 children being stunted or too short for their age.Save the Children has constantly been implementing programs to ensure children have a healthy start in life. Currently, our Nutrition among Urban Poor through Unified Response (NURTURE) Project helps protect deprived and marginalized children from chronic and acute malnutrition through monitoring the nutritional status of children and providing them with the necessary interventions.Help us support health and nutrition services for 1,000 children. Monitoring the nutritional status of young children is important since the first 2 years of a child’s life is considered a critical window of opportunity for their growth and development. If untreated, the damages caused by malnutrition at this stage could be irreversible. A donation of Php 400 could support health and nutritional services for a child which includes the necessary tools to diagnose malnutrition in children and train volunteers that could assist in providing health services. In the last 40 years, Save the Children Philippines has been able to help protect every child’s right to fair and equal access to nutritious food by calling on the support of government, civil society organizations, and the public through our #LahatDapat campaign. Save the Children also actively advocated for the passage of the ‘First 1000 Days Law’ by working with legislators in the country. In addition, we implemented the Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition to treat and rehabilitate children with severe and moderate acute malnutrition. With your support, we are determined to achieve even more significant progress in promoting and protecting the rights of children. #SavetheChildrenPHat40 #ForAndWithChildren
