Movember is the month where good minded people sprout moustaches to be sponsored to raise money for cancer research into the cancers that affect men. What has Edmund been up to lately?!! Other than trying to raise AWARENESS about cancer and doing everything under the sun about ALL SORTS of cancer at the Singapore Cancer Society for the past 4 months...Nothing Much!! ...so I decided to grow a MOustache (the real thing...give me time!) to show you a darker shade of a normally clean-shaven bloke...and to INTRODUCE YOU ALL to the ExCiTinGGG WORLD of CANCER.....and Y U canNOT PLAY around with IT!!! In this Movember month (Nov 1-30), join over 1m global citizens to TELL people around the world about MALE-related cancers! Tell the MEN in your lives, especially those you LOVE (husbands, Fathers, Brothers, sons, cousins, friends) that More Men DIE from cancer than women (probably because they are Too Macho To Act on early health symptoms!) and that you need them to STAY HEALTHY by looking after themselves...else we will have less men to Love and be Loved! This month, to promote awareness of men's health, and to help raise funds in the fight against cancer, we have chosen to participate in Movember, the month formerly known as November. Throughout Movember, approximately a million people worldwide, known as Mo Bros, will be growing Mo's (slang for mustache). We groom, trim, and wax our way into the art of fine moustachery to encourage awareness, and more importantly, your sponsorship for this great cause. Hey guys, it's Movember time!! Thanks for taking the time to read this page. As a lot of you would know, Movember is observed in November each year to raise awareness for men's health. Well to me it's raising awareness for health in general. With our busy lifestyle these days we hardly get time to look after the most important thing - our health! Hopefully by reading into some of the details on www.movember.sg about one of the biggest killers, Cancer, you will all get motivated to look after your health and well being. When I looked at the cause that Movember is celebrated for, I decided to take the plunge by growing a Mo and raising some funds for The Cancer Society, Singapore. You'll be getting all the funny pictures of my Mo Growth this month on this site. ;-) We all know of someone or the other who has been affected by cancer some of us have also had some of our near and dear ones fight and survive or in some tragic circumstances succumb to cancer. Every little bit that we can all contribute to raise funds for Cancer Research and to provide assistance to those suffering from this dreaded disease will go a long way. In the long run, their critical research may also come in handy for one of us (hopefully none of us will have to go through it but you never know). I'm aiming to raise a $1000 and need all your support. All donations are tax deductible (in Singapore). Every bit counts guys and I truly hope you all will reach out for this worthy cause.
