Fundraising for:
Angkor Hospital for Children
So maybe I am becoming a runner?! Any of my friends will tell you that I am not a runner (and have never been a runner) but I am taking on this challenge again this year to promote a cause I feel passionate about- improving healthcare for Cambodia’s children. Over 500 children come to AHC every day looking for medical care. They might need to see a dentist, an outpatient paediatrician, the ophthalmologist or need urgent ICU care. We also have social work, physio, ER/ICU, two Inpatient wards, Neonatal ward and breastfeeding consultants. An average of 540 patients are admitted a month. All the medical and nursing professionals are ably supported by an incredible non-medical staff including purchasing and logistics units, registration, maintenance, drivers, security staff, cleaners and finance unit. So many people work together to make sure 100s of children receive care every day and the burden and insecurity of lack of health care services are removed from their families. Please donate to help me reach my fundraising target… Every donation, no matter how small, really does count!
