Voltage Society at Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed) is a community service club. Footprints of our dedication to aid the society can be seen in a wide range of volunteer projects across Johor.Johor Cerebral Palsy (JCP) is an NGO that provides education, training, workshops, support services and rehabilitation to children with cerebral palsy, keeping them in the swim with modern society's footsteps. This charity intends to further alleviate JCP's financial restraints as we march into the post-pandemic era. This means that the 130 children who are relying on JCP for a second chance at being reintroduced into society are at risk of languishing in poverty and neglect. However, with your kind donations, they can overcome this issue. Even a donation as little as RM10 can make all the difference in the life of a child with cerebral palsy. We believe that every baby, child, teenager and adult living with cerebral palsy should lead the most comfortable, independent and inclusive life possible. By donating to us, you are crafting a Christmas miracle for the children at JCP.We thank you in advance for your kindness and goodwill, which will surely be appreciated by the staff at JCP, and especially the students who will be able to enjoy their Christmas without worrying about their second home, and their chance of being reintroduced to society being taken away from them.

I know it will surprise many of you but I've finally decided to get fit and whilst doing so what better idea than to raise some money for a very worthy charity. You may mock and suggest that I'm suffering from a mid-life crisis but if that is all I have to put up with to get fit and help to improve the lives of some kids who have been given a rough start in lives then I'm up for the challenge! I will be taking part in Standard Chartered Singapore Half Marathon 2013 on 01/12/2013 and aiming to raise money for The Spastic Children's Association of Johor. The Spastic Children’s Association of Johor was formed in 1967. Having started with only eight children in borrowed premises at the Jubilee Home, today the Association has its own premises and caters to the special needs of 137 children afflicted with Cerebral Palsy. The Association takes pride in being one of the first organisations in the state of Johor that provides specialised professional services for cerebral palsy children. http://www.spasticjohor.com/ Dig deep guys and let's make a real difference to the lives of these kids! Thanks, John
