I am a mother of three grown-up kids. I have worked as a school head but as a single parent. Among the three only one finished a course but is still unemployed. My second child did not study in college but had a business independently without my help. My third child stopped a year and now he's decided to move forward to college. He's aiming for a private education and university studies. He is unique from others for he is gifted too and a book lover, sports-minded and never involved in any vices. I felt regret if I couldn't send him to school for the cause. Thank you.

Helping Kids Like MeHi! My name is Hibiki, and I’m in 3rd grade. I learned that there are kids in other countries who are really sad because of wars. They don’t have homes to live in, and they don’t have food to eat. I feel really bad for them, and I think it’s not fair.So, I decided to do something to help. I dedicated my school project for them, but this will not end when my school project ends. I would like to continue helping as much as I can, as long as I can. I’m asking people to donate money and things like food and clothes to help these kids. All the money will go to UNICEF, and they will give it to the children who need it the most.I believe that if we all help just a little bit, we can make the world better for all children. My boyfriend Mon, 33, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 lymphoma. Stage 4 is the most advanced stage of lymphoma. His survival depends on at least 6 rounds of chemotherapy. Each round will cost ₱100,000 Philippine Pesos ($1,736.67 USD). The health system in the Philippines cannot cover the cost of his treatment so we are trying to raise money from people who are willing to help.We both work remote jobs supporting American companies. I am really hoping that anyone who has worked with people like us in a similar way might feel compelled to help. Mon's mother also dedicated her working life as a nurse to Australia's health system and is now retired in the Philippines. Even if you cannot afford to donate, I would really appreciate a message of support.

As a solo parent, I have been raising my daughter without the support of her father since my pregnancy. He gave support but only twice and that was only for her birthday until she was 2. As a single mom, despite not having much, I make sure to provide my daughter all the things she needed. I want to make sure that she will feel love even with just Us. I am just lucky to have my family to help me and support us when needed.As she grows old, she saw many unfortunate people either on street or near malls. I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. My name is Gilyn Dela Torre, a 27-year-old Overseas Filipino Worker currently in Saudi Arabia. I am writing to humbly seek financial assistance for my ongoing dialysis treatment, which is critical for my survival. On February 5, 2025, I was rushed to King Abdullah Medical Complex after experiencing dizziness, facial and leg swelling. After undergoing several tests, including laboratory exams, an ultrasound, and a CT scan, the doctors diagnosed me with chronic kidney disease, revealing that my kidneys had already shrunk. Due to this condition, I was immediately placed on dialysis treatment, which I now require three times a week to stay alive. As an OFW, I have worked hard to support my family back home, but my current medical situation has left me financially struggling. The cost of dialysis, medications, and hospital expenses is overwhelming, and I do not have enough funds to sustain my treatment. Without immediate financial support, continuing my dialysis will be extremely difficult. I am reaching out with humility and hope, asking for any financial assistance you can provide. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping me continue my treatment and fight for my life. I used to be one of those children who at a young age became part of the informal labor sector. My parents taught me how to work hard to get us out of poverty. With God's help, I was able to make it. He sent people along my life's journey to help me make something of myself, to become somebody and be successful in life. I've done advocacy for the marginalized and tried to pay it forward. Now I'm adding UNICEF in my list of advocacy groups as part of my Christian duty. I would like to assist in their efforts to help children who desperately need us.
