On the 5th and 6th of July 2014, me and my friends are donating 10 hours over to course of our weekend to fix up the place. The things we are doing ranges from landscaping the gardens to teaching the children there. We want to do this for Calvary Land because we know very well they lack the manpower to fix up the place themselves. Thus, in our goal to impact society in anyway possible, we have pledged to offer our time in exchange for the good feeling of accomplishment after our job have been finished. A brief introduction of CalvaryLand: CALVARYLAND is a social care centre affiliated with the Assemblies of God Malaysia. Their mission is to bring help and hope to the poor, needy and hurting without regard to gender, religion, social or ethnic origin. Their goals are: -To provide practical help to the poor and those needing special assistance -To present meaningful living through teaching by example -To prepare and equip the needy and marginalized to develop potential in life through skills impartation and training -To enhance placement of individuals back into society as responsible citizens Their welfare centre in Sungai Pelek comprises: an Administrative Block, Home for Older Adults, Home for Children and Home for Women in Crisis.
