My Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. The proceeds of your support will be sent directly to my selected charity - the Hong Kong Dog Rescue (http://www.hongkongdogrescue.com). HKDR is in continuous need of funding to provide care to abandoned dogs while looking for these dogs' permanent home. Your donation will go a long way and would help in feeding the dogs, desexing, vaccines, warm beds, and many more. I will be taking part in Hong Kong Dog Rescue Peak to Fong 2013, sponsored by Disney in Nov 17, 2013 and I am aiming to raise money for Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR). I will be walking with my good friend Karen and my long-haired Chihuahua Butchy :) It's Butchy's 7th birthday on Nov 6 and this is how we would like to celebrate his birthday - by helping our friends at HKDR :) Please dig deep and donate. Love, Wys From HKDR's information leaflet: Many of the dogs that come to HKDR have been family pets that have been abandoned on the street or surrendered to either AFCD (government) kennels or directly to us. Their only crime is that they are old or sick, or their owners have simply lost interest. Many are young puppies that are the result of irresponsible owners or are born to abandoned or stray dogs. HKDR makes regular visits to AFCD government kennels to select the lucky few who stand the best chance of being re-homed. The rest are killed after just 4 days. Up to 20,000 dogs and puppies are destroyed every year in Hong Kong. To be able to continue saving as many dogs and puppies as possible, we need your help.
