My Story

The plight of the people of Gaza has always been close to my heart. Their steadfast courage and iman in the face of catastrophe and oppression is a paragon of love, patience, and belief in God Almighty. The recent slew of bombardments have caused unprecedented devastation which will take many years to recover from. MERCY Malaysia has been one of the key players in providing humanitarian aid in Gaza from Malaysia and their efforts have truly inspired awe and humility from within me. I want to raise funds to help the citizens of Gaza in their darkest hour.

Annapurna Base Camp is one of the most well-known hiking trails in Nepal, which takes around 5 days of long, grueling trekking to complete. It will be my first long hike outside of Malaysia and my second hardcore multi-day hike after Gunung Tahan. It will also only be the second time I attempt to climb above 4000 metres above sea level! There will be many challenges along the way - from my wobbly knees to my fickle endurance, to braving the elements and potentially fatal altitude sickness.

I am honoured to pledge this expedition to my brothers and sisters in Gaza. I hope you will help me raise funds for this cause and help make their lives better.
