About Appeal

I will be participating in the Tabitha-Cambodia Housebuilding Voluntary Program from 31 October to 3 November 2019. Please help to support my fundraising and make a difference to the community.

Tabitha Foundation Cambodia is a non-profit organization founded and established by Ms. Janne Ritskes in 1994.
It operates with minimal overhead and running costs and funds are used to help the poorest people in Cambodia through programs that focus on personal and financial development.
Since its creation, Tabitha has brought over half million people, working directly with over 30,000 families in 37 areas within 15 provinces in Cambodia.
The programs provided make significant changes and developments in the lives of the Cambodian people. The main Tabitha's activities include: Savings programs, Wells & Ponds, House Building, Cottage Industry, School Building, Hospital Building.

Supporting groups in more than 9 locations worldwide were established to help fund-raising and providing stability through high impact community development programs. Tabitha Foundation Hong Kong was set up in 2016 as a charitable institution granted tax exemption under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance.

The House Building Program brings volunteers from around the world to Cambodia to help construct houses for families in the Savings Program. These families, over the course of several years, accumulate enough savings to purchase a small tract of land and contribute toward building materials. Over 12,586 houses have been built till today.

The purpose of this fundraising is to help families in the final stage of the program which requires to raise 1500 US$ to help them build a home. 
As a volunteer, I am expected to fund 500 US$ minimum and to complete building the houses by nailing on the walls and floors.
 
Any amount from any currency is appreciated and will make an impact! The sum collected will be entirely donated to the Tabitha Foundation in Hong Kong at the end of the fundraising.
