It is always a delight to see a baby smile: that sweet gentle smile that warms your heart and brightens your day; that innocent set of eyes that pierce your soul and captures your heart; that giggles that envelopes the whole house and wash all the stress away. Now imagine if that smile now turns into tears, those captivating giggles now turns into sorrow.  How would you feel?

This is the story of a child warrior named Baby Ethan.

It was a gloomy day for first time parents Myra and Kirc Bensi to know that their son who used to be so energetic and happy, suffers from Stage 3 Renal Cancer. It was and still is a dagger to their hearts. So many questions clouded their minds. And most of their questions are “Why’s?” Questions that cannot be answered. Questions that would still remain questions. 

A sweet, innocent baby who has not even experienced much of how great life is. A 9-month old baby boy who still wants to live, take his first step, ride his bike, go to school and achieve his dreams. That is Baby Ethan.

Doctors advised the loving parents for an immediate surgery to remove the affected kidney while the cancer has not spread yet and most importantly, while the prognosis is still good. Series of chemotherapy and expensive medications will follow. Money is not in his parent’s favor. They are already financially striving hard to take care of the medical expenses. 

We are knocking all the compassionate hearts to help them save their baby's life and give him a chance to live; a chance to experience life; a chance to make more people happy with his sweet giggles and tiny hugs.
