In Loving Memory of Asma
Asma Amirah binti Baharudin, a beloved daughter, sister, friend and colleague. She passed away at the young age of 25 in Hospital Seremban, Malaysia following a courageous battle against Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
This donation page was created by Asma’s friends with the permission of her family. Many of the lives that she inspired - from Malaysia to the UK and other parts of the world - have been asking for a way to ease her family’s burden during this difficult time and this is why this platform was set up. All contributions will be channeled to her family especially her 5 younger siblings who are still in university and school. We hope to continue her love for them by supporting their education financially like she used to do since her teenage years. We hope to raise at least RM5,000 in memory of Asma, for her family. *

We hope the memorial would provide her family support and motivation to live a life as meaningful as Asma’s if not more. As her friends, we believe this would be a comforting way to remind ourselves of the many perspectives of the beautiful life she led when we miss her.
A Glimpse Into Asma's Life
Throughout Asma’s lifetime, she touched the lives of many with her bubbly personality, infectious smile, sheer determination and resilience. She loved going for runs and long walks, and with that she always inspired her friends to join her. She was known for having a soft spot for cats and once said that she would like to rescue as many cats as possible throughout her lifetime. She had lived a beautiful life, surrounded by good friends and family, and loved by many.
In school, she had always been a hardworking and dedicated student who shared her knowledge generously whenever she could. She completed her primary studies in SK Taman Desa Cempaka and secondary studies in Sekolah Seri Puteri, Cyberjaya (Amigas 0812). In 2013, she was offered a full scholarship by the Public Service Department of Malaysia (JPA) to pursue her studies. She attended INTEC Education College from 2013 to 2015 for her A-Level programme. Her passion in dentistry alongside her excellent academic performance earned her a place in University of Dundee which boasted one of the top dental schools in the UK. Graduated as a dentist in June 2020, she was thrilled to start working and serving her home country, Malaysia.
In 2017, Asma lost her mother, who was also her best friend, to a chronic illness. This tragic loss affected her tremendously and left her father as the primary wage earner in the family. However, being the eldest child, she knew she had to and eventually managed to toughen and pick herself up to become a mother figure to her siblings. Her siblings looked up to her very much and often seek emotional support from this loving sister of theirs. On the 6th of August 2020, the sudden and unexpected loss of Asma has now left her 5 younger siblings who are still studying and her father heartbroken.
