I stepped out of my comfort zone by trying a new sport 4 years ago, and I had no idea how addicted I would become to Ultimate Frisbee as a sport, and how it made me become the athlete that I am today.
Perhaps you know that my weekends are always filled with frisbee training, and if you aren't aware, Malaysia will be sending 3 teams to compete in 3 divisions (Mixed, Men's & Women's) for Asia Oceanic Ultimate Guts Championship (AOUGC) 2019 in Shanghai this year!

It is common to assume that players representing the country will receive funding through corporate sponsorships or from the government. Sadly, because frisbee is still growing sport in Malaysia and many people still think that I play frisbee with my dog :( Currently, the players are all self-funded and MFDA is actively helping to look for sponsorships. The estimated expense per player for this campaign is approximately RM4,600 including tournament participation fees, flight tickets, accommodation, and various logistic expenses.
Expenses breakdown:
Tournament Participation Fee: RM850
Flight Ticket : RM1300
Accommodation : RM800
Visa & Insurance : RM300
Team Kits : RM350
Ground Transportation : RM1,000
Any amount of help would mean a lot to me in order to mitigate the financial burden throughout this journey, even if it's as little as RM0.50!
