Personal Challenge

Hello everyone! CMSV's SAMAHAN is proud to announce that we will be raising money to donate to ARK: Advancement for Rural Kids during this year's Battle of the Barrios season. Our goal is $525, but we can always go higher! Let's show our love for our fellow kababayan and support accessibility to education in the Philippines! Kaya natin ito!

My Story

The College of Mount Saint Vincent's SAMAHAN (Students At the Mount Advancing their Humanity And Nationality) is a Filipino student organization which aims to promote cultural and historical education to the college's Filipino population. It is a member school of FIND, Inc's District 3, which is comprised of metropolitan New York, Long Island, and northern New Jersey. Although majority of the organization's members are of Filipino descent, it truly embodies its name: in Tagalog, the word "samahan" conveys a sense of unity, togetherness, and accepting everyone as a part of a bigger family, which is a vital component of Filipino culture.
