My Story
Story for the Mt. Musuan Campaign:
Nestled in the heart of Bukidnon, Mt. Musuan—also known as Mount Calayo or the Fire Mountain—stands as a symbol of both beauty and resilience. It has witnessed centuries of change, from its volcanic eruptions shaping the land to its lush greenery providing sanctuary for wildlife and sustenance for local communities. Yet today, Mt. Musuan faces silent threats. Unchecked human activities, deforestation, and the growing effects of climate change are putting its unique ecosystem at risk. What was once a beacon of life and growth is now a mountain calling for help. But there is hope.Call to Action:
We believe that Mt. Musuan’s story is far from over. Through our campaign, "Rise for Musuan: Protect, Preserve, and Prosper," we aim to:- Protect its environment by organizing cleanups, tree-planting activities, and enforcing eco-friendly tourism practices.
- Preserve its heritage by documenting its history, promoting indigenous knowledge, and fostering pride in its cultural significance.
- Prosper together by supporting sustainable livelihoods like agri-tourism, eco-guides, and local crafts that empower nearby communities.
