My Story

"Giving A little is Better than Not giving at all " 

Greetings from the Speak Up Project team from AIESEC in Taylor’s University! 

I'm Wei Cheng from this volunteering project 

I am organizing a fundraising to help the B40 children ( students) by providing Laptops for their schooling. 

It's been almost 2 years since Covid-19 has hit us. Many people are facing more financial crisis due to certain restraints and lockdowns which have impacted many industries and businesses and students all around Malaysia.  

A little background on the B40 category, this group comprises of the lower 40% of the Malaysian with a household income of less than  RM4,850  per month. Currently, about 2.4 million people are becoming the 'new poor' within Malaysia as the rising unemployment rate in Malaysia increases because of Covid. As children require to study from home, without getting the proper tools ( Laptops ) they will be unable to attend their virtual classes and will lose out on their education.  

We as the Speakup Team do hope everyone could help contribute to the B40 students by donating any amount as it actually helps increases the chances of the B40 students to utilize Laptops. Much appreciated for your contribution and hope you guys could also share this page with your friends and family as the more people donate, the more Laptops we could fund for the B40 students.
