Cyclists With Compassion are fundraising for Mercy House Foudation

The cycling charity "Cyclists with Compassion" is an international group of like-minded cycling enthusiasts who combine their love for cycling and desire to help under-privileged children!Up to 25 riders will ride nearly 800 km in Thailand's Kanchanaburi province to raise funds for the Mercy House Foundation in Pranburi, Thailand and the many deserving children under their care!

My Story

CWC is very pleased and honoured to work again with the Mercy House Foundation in Hua Hin as the beneficiary for the CWC2024 ride.​ The Mercy House Foundation was established in 1998 in Pranburi Prachuap Khiri Khan as a Children’s Home to provide a sanctuary, food and education for the many needy children in their district. This also included disabled children and those whose parents had abandoned them, were divorced or had died. Many of the children are from the Karen tribe. Starting with just 11 children in a small, flood-prone and mosquito-infested house, constant progress was made and Mercy House has now a capacity to take in up to 24 children in separate dormitories for boys and girls.​

Aside from the 20 children at Mercy House, the foundation is also supporting 160 Thai children and Karen hill tribe children in remote villages from poor families. Those children never received a present or toys. Part of our fund raising effort this year is to invite those 160 children to the ceremony at the Mercy House and present them with a special gift of love: A bag with filled toys, stationary and other essential items.
