As university students, we know all too well that sinking feeling of missing home. When we were at our rock bottom, we were unable to share our deepest troubles to our loved ones and the very people we grew up with. Now, imagine that you can never ever return to your home ever again. That excruciating feeling of never being able to see your loved ones and feel their love and compassion? That is how most of the indigenous Orang Asli communities feel right now.

Stripped of the ancestral homeland and identity, their voices often go unheard due to the ever-expanding gap between the indigenous and modern communities. It is often during such trying times that hard battles are fought to preserve healthy relationships and compassion for one another. However, it deeply saddens me to say that victory did not prevail for the Orang Asli community.  Day after day, night after night, they scream their pleas of help and hope that in some miracle that their prayers are heard and that their saviour has arrived.

With the Epic Builders of Tomorrow, we say this to the indigenous Orang Asli communities: we sympathize with you and we are here to help. It will be our personal mission and sacred oath that no poor soul should suffer such poor fate. Through our dedicated efforts in helping build homes for the indigenous communities, we aim to not only create a community in which they can feel loved and cared for, but also rediscover their love for one another that they may have lost through thick and thin. The relief of knowing that your loved ones are safe and happy? The feeling of knowing that you will always have someone to go back to that truly understands and can hep you through the hard times? It is more than enough to fuel the lives of tens and thousands of Orang Asli families with ever-lasting joy and purpose into their colourful lives. 

However, all of this would not be as impactful and meaningful without your immense advocation and support in our cause. By extending a helping hand in our cause, know that you just became part of something bigger - something noble - something epic. You may think that a small donation would not make a big impact as you would have imagined, but know this: It means the WORLD to them.
