2019 Prudential RideLondon Charity Ride for Posko Jenggala
The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 on Sunday 4 August will see riders cycle through London and into the Surrey countryside, before finishing on The Mall outside Buckingham Palace. 25 Prudential employees from Asia will join the Prudential Team to take on the challenge of the 100-mile and 46-mile cycling events to help raise funds for Posko Jenggala Humanitarian Movement Foundation, a disaster relief organisation that is supporting the recovery efforts of quake-hit communities in Lombok, Indonesia. Prudential plc will match all donations raised by each rider up to £250.
Beneficiary
Prudential is supporting the longer-term recovery efforts to rebuild parts of North Lombok that were devastated by a series of earthquakes in August last year. The disasters had left more than 400 people dead and hundreds of thousands homeless, while destroying public facilities and infrastructure. The Prudence Foundation, Prudential Indonesia and Prudential’s head office are providing financial support to build 102 temporary homes, two kindergartens, two prayer rooms and a basketball court. Working with Prudential, Posko Jenggala builds on those efforts to provide aid to the affected region.
