About Event

Ensany recently visited Dalida binti Mohd Salleh, who lives in Desa Mukmin, Gombak. She has been abandoned by her husband for years, leaving her and their three children without support. Their eldest child, 13, has had to live with relatives, while the younger ones, 7 and 5, remain with her.

Earlier this year, their house got demolished for an ECRL development project. Now, they're living in a makeshift shelter made of scrap wood and plastic, which is barely holding up. The place is crawling with mosquitoes, and the walls don’t keep out the weather. When it rains, water leaks in, and the area around them is overgrown and dangerous. They have electricity and water, but the living conditions are still pretty rough.

Dalida has suffered from asthma since childhood and recently experienced a back injury, requiring frequent hospital visits. She has also been diagnosed with early-stage epilepsy. Their living situation is heartbreaking, with no furniture except for one bed covered by a mosquito net. Isolated from development and unable to rely on relatives for help, she has received no support from the Zakat.

Ensany is running a campaign to help Dalida and her children move out of their makeshift shelter. The targeted aid is as follows:

  1. New House Rental: RM 500 per month for 3 months = RM 1,500.
  2. Grocery Needs: RM 600 per month for 3 people for 3 months = RM 1,800.
  3. School Expenses: RM 300 per child for 4 months = RM 1,200.
  4. Utility Bills: RM 50 per month for 4 months = RM 200.
  5. Medical and Transport Costs: RM 300 per month for 3 months = RM 900.
  6. Setup for a Small Business (Selling traditional cakes and fried bananas): RM 300 for equipment.
  7. Working Capital: RM 1,200.

Total Target: RM 7,500

By contributing to this campaign, you can help provide Dalida and her children with a safe home, essential daily provisions, and a means for sustainable income.
