My Story
SUKA Society is a child protection agency set up to protect and preserve the best interests of children. We want to ensure that children in crises, such as a trafficked child and a child in detention, receive fair and just treatment. We also believe that it is in the best interest of a child that they are protected and have access to appropriate care. We firmly believe that all children, especially those who are marginalised, are empowered to grow and develop into their best potential. As such, we are constantly looking for mechanisms to create opportunities to improve a marginalised child’s access to education and developmental programmes.
- Empowered2Teach Programme (E2T): With only 6% of Indigenous children completing high school and limited preschool access, we empower communities to start and manage preschool classes, providing training and resources.
- Anti Trafficking in Persons Programme (ATIP): In Malaysia, 212,000 people suffer in modern-day slavery. We aid survivors through therapeutic sessions in protection shelters.
- Community Placement and Case Management Programme (CPCM): With 46,570 refugee children in Malaysia, we provide holistic foster care and case management to ensure their safety, stability, and well-being.
