My Story

Hello there. Good to have you here. 


My name is Natalie. I have been training this group of children to sing for almost two months now and what I've seen has been incredibly inspiring.

The time spent with these children have given me first-hand knowledge of what it's like to live in Afghanistan and how they've brought themselves to another country with hopes of a better life.

Hearing their stories and trying to understand, is like watching the news. It's almost unbelievable. It's hard to imagine a life without proper education, or a journey of escape to find refuge.   

That is why I am here. They've inspired me to find purpose in my passion, by their enthusiasm for life despite their difficult life and journey.

I was told, that Art education is not introduced and considered a taboo in Afghanistan. However, watching the children's persistence, their courage to learn performance arts, and most of all, to challenge themselves to achieve their DREAMS! of performing on stage, is so empowering that I’ve recognised my own.

I have always believed that we are all rightful for opportunities, given or created. We become who we are, from the courage to pursue the opportunities that were given to us and from those we create for ourselves, to give to others. 

Today, I would like to invite you to give with your heart, to give willingly. You might not be physically present, but deep down, in energy and spirit, we both know that we’ve impacted a great opportunity for someone’s life.
