Cancer, as the second leading cause of death worldwide (as well as in Malaysia), has been impacting the lives of too many people. To this very day, there is a myriad of myths and poorly-informed perceptions towards cancer. Humanity has a tendency to fear what we don't understand and in this way, cancer is frightening. Our objective is to spread the message that cancer is not, in fact, a death sentence, and it is curable if detected in the early stage. Moreover, in this donation drive, funds will be raised to support the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) in aiding cancer survivors. Help us in the fight against cancer by spreading the word & donating! :)

My Story

Hi there! My name is Rachel Tattianna. I am a first semester biomedical science student in Taylor's University and part of the Here For You (H4Y) campaign - a Cancer Awareness project under AIESEC to raise funds for the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM). Our project aims to ultimately promote health i.e. the importance of cancer prevention and early detection as well as to raise funds to support NCSM's sustainability for them to continue providing their public services towards cancer fighters. I personally admire the vigorous, noble fight the NCSM is in and I am inspired greatly to make a contribution.

What is AIESEC?
AIESEC is an international youth-run, non-governmental and not-for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development, cross-cultural internships, and global volunteer experiences. We focus on empowering young people to make a progressive social impact.

What is the National Cancer Society Malaysia and what do they do?
Established in 1966, the NCSM is the first not-for-profit cancer organization in Malaysia that provides education, care and support services for people affected by cancer and the general public.

Services provided by the NCSM include:
1. 'Children's Home of Hope' - a shelter for underprivileged child cancer patients as well as their caregivers
2. Highly subsidized screening for the public and free screening for the underprivileged
3. Highly subsidized nuclear imaging services

Why should I help?
A support towards this campaign is a helping hand lent to cancer fighters. National Cancer Society Malaysia, as a non-profit organization, relies on the hands of the public to sustain their operations and aid the fight against cancer.

Fund Allocation: Where would my money go?
With the aim of achieving a minimum of RM8000,
*70% will be donated to National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM)
*30% will go to AIESEC in Taylor's University to continue the of our semi-annual cancer initiative

DONATE NOW! Your contribution, no matter how small, is significantly appreciated!
