My Story
The pandemic caused tremendous unintentional damage to the society. It was the school children impacted the most when the government first announced a nationwide lockdown in March 2020 (Kamarudin 2020). Hence, it is important to look for new ways to support more kids in our community as children are the future of our country and it is everyone’s responsibility to make sure that the underprivileged kids get good quality education. Donation of the laptops will allow us to connect more B40 kids to the internet and support their educational aspirations. Nowadays, access to information and knowledge that the internet provides, plays a significant role in a pathway of poor kids, towards their educational goals, which in result will bring them a brighter future.
Investments in education technologies are becoming more common and keep increasing at a constant pace. Some schools acquire investment in a form of education equipment, such as laptops and classroom computers. However, some schools are still unable to provide their pupils with computers, therefore it is extremely important to support B40 kids through laptop donation programs. Moving on, some students without electronic devices are falling behind, some of them were also considering giving up their studies. Therefore, our team is doing this campaign to ensure that no one leaves behind and reduces the disparity gaps due to the digital divide despite they are from different backgrounds.
