My Story

In April, I will be participating in the legendary Marathon Des Sables, a 155 mile (250 km) multi-day endurance event in the Sahara desert in Morocco. I will be running the equivalent of 6 marathons in 5 days, carrying all my kit and food, where the temperature will be somewhere above 40 degrees during the day, in one of the worlds most challenging foot races. 

I am raising money to support Mind HK in memory of Laurence Grant. Before his death, Laurence was seeking to develop a mental health charity in Hong Kong, where he lived and worked. This charity was to have been called Help Me. Mind HK are now implementing the Help Me project, where users will be able to access a ‘chatbot’ system, available online 24/7, to quickly access clinically reviewed mental health information and support. Using artificial intelligence, this project creates a space online for people who may be reluctant to speak to someone about their mental health, yet have questions or want to seek help. The chatbot will launch later in 2020 and be available on the Mind HK website and Facebook Messenger. More information can be found at www.helpme-mindhk.com.
