The HKFWC is an independent, charitable organization established in 1981 that relies on community donations and grants for our work. Our long history means that we have a track record of advancing the needs and interests of women in Hong Kong. We have over 1,300 members whose backgrounds are diverse, with many from the grassroots sector.

We have pioneered many “first” in Hong Kong:

• The first women’s centre
• The first women’s hotline
• The first Free Legal Advice Clinic for women
• The first to register a women’s worker cooperative

Service Achievements:

• Serve over 60,000 women
• Over 4,500 women access our hotline, Free Legal Advice Clinic and counselling services
• Over 10,000 women attend our education programs
• Over 600 women retrained through us and over 80% of these women are re-employed
• Over 780 volunteers contribute with over 16,000 hours served each year

香港婦女中心協會  成立於1981年，是一間致力提供婦女為本服務的非政府機構。通過位於深水埗麗閣邨和大埔太和邨的兩所中心，多年來為弱勢婦女提供各項適切服務。

我們開創了多項「全港第一」包括：

• Ÿ開設全港首間「多元化婦女服務中心」；
• 設立全港首條「婦女求助熱線」；
• 全港第一所為婦女提供「免費律師面見諮詢服務」的機構；及
• 協助婦女成立全港首個「職工合作社」。

服務成就：

• 每年服務超過60,000人次；
•  每年超過4,500名婦女受惠於「婦女求助熱線」、「免費律師面見諮詢服務」及輔導服務；
• 每年有超過10,000人次報讀不同類型的教育課程；
• 每年有超過600名婦女報讀本會開辦的再培訓課程，超過80%畢業學員通過就業配對服務成功就業；及
• 有超過780位義工，每年服務超過16,000小時。
