Soroptimist International (SI) is a worldwide non-profit  service organisation for women in business and the professions committed to advancing the status of women at local, national and international levels. SI has more than75,000 members in 132 countries and territories throughout the world. It is the largest service organisation for women in the world with a voice in the United Nations.
Soroptimist International Region of Malaysia (SIROM) consists of 15 clubs and over the last 25 years we have carried out several projects to help the poor and needy in the fields of Education, Health, Environment, Economic and Social Development and Skills training. Our focus is on projects that educate, empower and enable women and children to achieve their best potential. SIROM has now embarked on a project to bring “Clean Water to Rural Communities” starting with  the village of Long Tanyit in Sarawak.
