1. CAKNE is a voluntary support group for children with cancer and their family. Started informally in 2008 by a group of parents whos has a child afflicted by cancer.
2. CAKNE was then formally registered in 2013 under the name 'Persatuan Sokongan Kanser Kanak Kanak PPUKM'
3. Apart from moral and educational supports to all childhood cancer patients treated in Hospital Canselor Tuanku Mukhriz (previously known as HUKM/ PPUKM) regardless of race or religion, CAKNE also provides financial assistances to patients from under privileged families.
4. Since its inception, CAKNE is fully dependent on public support through events or direct donations.
