Fundraising for Illuh’s transportation for 1 year:
Ni Luh Maeni Cita Devi or Iluh is a beautiful girl from Gianyar which is a long distance from MTC. She has one younger sister. They are a low income family from Bali. Her father works as a carpenter while the mother as a tailor. Iluh’s birth was at the normal 9 month term and also her development was appropriate  for her age, ie sitting, rolling, crawling and began to learn to walk at 8 months old. But some time later, she showed signs of  unusual traits like crying loudly and nodding her head and a high fever accompanied by a seizure every 5 minute ensued. She had several medical tests  (MRI, CT Scan, and EEG) at Sanglah Hospital yet the result was normal. That caused difficulties for the doctors to determine an accurate diagnose.  Anti-seizure drugs did not help much and therefore she still has to have routine medical checks at the hospital. Later it was diagnosed that she suffered from Cerebral Palsy. Iluh has been visiting MTC since 2011. The progress that Iluh has made is tremendous. The therapy has given her a sense of ambition to improve every time. But, in 2013 she was in a motorcycle accident which provoked a trauma for her and she could not continue the therapy until august 2014 again. At this time MTC Therapy staff decided to offer Illuh a home visit programme for 3 months but sadly because of lack of funds had to be stopped again. In 2015 Iluh has been hospitalized due to high fever and severe dehydration which affects her physical condition. She can not sit, crying frequently and her body becomes more rigid. In September 2016, she received a donation for transportation to MTC every Saturday for 6 months. Since then Iluh has not been able to continue because of the distance from MTC and the need to rent a car is not possible for the parents to afford. Iluhs' parents wish that she could continue and said that she makes a very good progress during therapy at MTC. Her appetite increases, she actively makes movement, looks happier and smiles more often.
At MTC (a not for profit organization) we provide ongoing care for children with Cerebral Palsy and other special needs, with therapies and activities needed to stimulate their motor skills. Improvements are always recorded and we could not be more proud of Iluh. We appreciate any help and contributions to get her the transport she needs to come receive the therapies that have been helping her so much. And we pray and hope that Illuh will have the opportunity to return  again to MTC
