MAKE A DIFFERENCE and raise public awareness towards the plight of the underprivileged Senai Tribe, Orang Asli community of Sungai Ruai, Malaysia.

WHO ARE YOU SUPPORTING?
The Orang Asli, with population comprises of only 290 residents, where half of them are children below age 15 years old live in remote forest and are dependent on natural environment to live.

This community relies on poultry, farming and hunting as their means of subsistence. They lack the basic facilities such as a kitchen, sanitation, water or electric supply.  The remote forest causes hardship, and also lack the attention of support from other charitable organisations. During rainy seasons, they couldn’t cook outdoors. Not only that, bad hygiene practices will affect their healthy, especially the young children.

WHAT ARE THE FUNDS FOR?
In response to their needs, the M.A.D (Make a Difference) day is set up to raise funds to:

1. Build a common kitchen with simple wiring, piping and water facility.
2. Build a sanitation facility with proper wiring, water connection and sewerage system.
3. Fund a 1-day outreach program where volunteers will be spending time with the community to plant trees (helps create a source of food and income), have a meal with them, and a gotong-royong together.

Donations on this SimplyGiving page will close by 18 October 2018.

If you would like to donate by bank transfer (preferred, so that all donations without the cards fees go to the community)
