Dogs from the streets of Ipoh, Perak are released at Papan Landfill with no water, no food and no shelter. These voiceless and defenceless animals are forced to face the harshness of the environment and risk their lives every day from speeding trucks, predators and extreme weathers. It is survival of the fittest. Sadly many do not make it. Since June 2020, these forgotten souls have been given proper food, clean water, shelter, medication and lots of love by PapanSouls’ volunteers. We are a registered NGO since February 2022 known as Persatuan Prihatin Haiwan Terbiar Ipoh, Perak (PapanSouls). Sick and injured dogs, pregnant and mother dogs and puppies are taken to our safe house to recuperate until they are fit to be released where we manage them on site or better yet we rehome them. We are managing about 250 dogs at Papan Landfill and another 120 dogs in our safe house.
