Resolve is one of Hong Kong's newest non-profit organizations, working to empower future community leaders to be catalysts for positive change in their communities in Hong Kong. It was founded in 2017 with one question in mind: in an age of increasing polarization and intolerance, how can we build more inclusive and accepting societies?
Resolve's signature fellowship model combines leadership development, human rights education and campaigning skills, focusing on a specific social justice theme every year. Our first inaugural fellowship program launched in December that same year on the theme of racial equality and inclusion. It brought together over a dozen fellows from ethnic Chinese, non-ethnic Chinese, migrant and refugee backgrounds. The fellows went through a five-month fellowship that included group workshops, mentoring and collaboration on a final project.
