Great Eastern Women’s Run Fundraising Challenge 2024
The iconic all-women’s run, Great Eastern Women’s Run (GEWR), returns on 27 October 2024! As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility efforts to give back to our community, GEWR Fundraising Challenge is launched for our corporate and agency colleagues to help raise funds to support two charities – Daughters Of Tomorrow and Singapore Cancer Society.

Daughters of Tomorrow
Daughters Of Tomorrow is a local charity seeking to empower women by facilitating livelihood opportunities for lower-income women and supporting them in achieving financial independence, enabling social mobility for their families. Singapore Cancer Society
Minimising Cancer and Maximising Lives since 1964, the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) is a self-funded Social Service Agency which provides an integrated continuum of care from cancer control and prevention to patient support services, to survivorship and palliative care. SCS’s key programmes & services include cancer screening programmes, public education, financial and welfare services, psychosocial support, survivorship, rehabilitation programmes and hospice care. SCS attained the coveted Charity Governance Award (CGA) and Charity Transparency Award (CTA) 2023 for upholding high governance and transparency standards. As the Society forges ahead in

Campaign Details
Great Eastern staff and agency force can play their part to give back to the community. In teams of four, donations can be garnered in two ways:
1. Direct Donation
Each team/individual will be provided a customised fundraising link. Your friends and family may donate directly to your team through the link. Share the link to gather support and donations! Great Eastern will also match and donate S$1 for every $1 raised via Simplygiving link, subject to a cap* of $30,000
2. Run for a good cause
Clock distance during the Fundraising Challenge (21 May – 29 Sep 2024) and Great Eastern will donate S$1 for every 1km completed, subject to a cap* of $30,000
*Total cap of up to S$70,000 including corporate matching of distance clocked, funds raised via Simplygiving and corporate fundraising at the launch event.
Receive Tax Deductions When You Donate
Donations $50 and above will be eligible for tax deduction. All donations will be split equally between SCS and DOT and donors will receive tax exemptions from both organisations.
