It started before pandemic in 2019, when we planned to build our own business. We dreamed to have an online store and started to sell used pre-loved items on marketplace as our mission is to contribute to sustainable living. We tried to encourage people to buy pre-loved items instead of the brand new ones. So, in the future it can help the better living on earth because there are so many used things that people do not use anymore and just throw it away then it become wasted.
And the pandemic happened, we had difficulties to maintain our business but we still doing it. However, after a year passed, we got into more difficulties and we run out of money. We started to sell our own things on the market, so at least we can have a little money to support day to day life. We also tried to find a formal job, but both of us are not in the age that most of the companies looking for. We are sisters, and we are 37 and 48 years old. We have working experience for more than 10 years but every time our application got denied. So now we are already in the end of year 2023 (when we are writing this), and yet our situation has not changed at all. Everyday we keep looking and applying for a job while also we are taking online course, e.g.; Digital Marketing, Coding, Spanish Language, and Microsoft Excel, all is done so we can have a bigger opportunity to get the job despite of our age. We are hoping people no longer judged us from our age only, and start to see our skill/ability to work.
At this moment, we are facing difficulties to pay the rent, buying groceries, facing day to day life. All this situation also affecting our mental health so much, it's been almost 6 years we have this financial problem after we tried everything. So, we see this as our biggest hope to get help. It would mean a lot to us if you can help even the smallest amount. We are going to use the money for:
1. Fulfilling our basic needs
2. Clear our debts
3. Building our business start allover again.
We make drawing artwork, and also make hand made crochet items such as cardigan, pullover, scrunchies, etc. We hope we can have money that can help us grow as small business owner.
We hope we can touch your heart to donate and help us get back to our feet. Thank you so much for taking time reading our story. We really appreciate your kind hearts and help.
Warmest regards,
Siti Julaikha and Vike
