My Story
Projek Mask untuk Kawan (MUKA) is an initiative by MRA Siswa as part of MRA’s larger effort to relieve the undue stress and hardship caused by the pandemic. MRA Siswa launched this campaign for our student-volunteers to lend a helping hand to fellow students, especially in helping them cope with the sudden changes and thrive in a different systems and norms of learning.We understand that adjusting is many times more difficult when your home lacks the resources a school can offer (physical interaction, emotional support, attention, conducive space to study, etc.). Some students even skipped school because they could not afford to pay for more disposable masks when some in their families have been made redundant in this COVID economy.
How will Projek MUKA be carried out?
How will Projek MUKA be carried out?
- Disposable face masks (50 sheets per box) will be distributed to 500 households in Semporna with the help of MRA Sabah.
- Reusable face masks will be distributed to 500 students, each receiving 1-2 units.
- All beneficiaries will also receive pamphlet detailing pandemic preparedness guidelines, focusing on helping students transition to online learning better.
