My Story

Hi there! I’m Omarie Palma, a UNICEF fundraising advocate, a volunteer catechist and an aspiring philanthropist whose passion is to help and to teach children in achieving their fullest potential. I believe that children are the future’s game changers and innovators therefore, should be loved and empowered. Helping gives me a happy heart however seeing less fortunate people suffer gives me heartaches. That’s why it’s a privilege to work in UNICEF Philippines because this has been my channel in fulfilling my passion to help people. Being a part of UNICEF, one of my duties is to raise funds to support UNICEF programmes.

During this pandemic, there are many conflicts that we must solve, necessities of the front liners and the less fortunate people. UNICEF is working tirelessly to help and to reach out for the victims of this virus around the globe. Since the start of the outbreak, UNICEF has shipped more than 4.27 million gloves, 573,300 surgical masks, 98,931 N95 respirators, 156,557 gowns and 12,750 googles in support of countries as they respond to the pandemic.

However, to sustain our needs especially in the increasing number of cases in the Philippines, we NEED more help. That’s why UNICEF Philippines is tripling its effort to fight and conquer this war against COVID-19. As a UNICEF authorized fundraiser, I am humbly asking for your generosity to help our country survive and thrive in this pandemic. Your help is very crucial in order to win this war.
