My Story
Hi there, I'm Danya Frances and I've been a research intern for the past three months, at The Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS) which is a nonprofit research institute that seeks to provide solutions to public policy challenges.
Throughout my experience, the IDEAS family has tackled many pressing issues by offering solutions based on quality research and producing various content on these matters such as videos and podcasts. I, myself as an intern, have had the opportunity to be a part of the process in creating works on various topics and researching the topics and questions that trouble our nation. At IDEAS, I've also had the opportunity to engage with and learn from leading academics and speakers on various topics - making every day I've spent at IDEAS, an enlightening one.
The work that we have produced is non-partisan and is available for everyone - academics and everyday citizens alike. We rely on donations and grants by individuals (like you!) and organisations to keep our operations running. Your donation, helps us pay our team of researchers fairly, continue to support our projects (from education for all, video series, and conferences) and start new research projects.
This year, we commemorate Almarhum Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj's birthday and celebrate the 11th anniversary of IDEAS’ establishment and success in throughout the years by holding our 11th Anniversary Celebration !
With the ongoing pandemic, we’re hosting a virtual fundraising and conference, "IDEAS Malaysia Outlook Conference 2021", which is open to everyone for free!
The conference will feature panellists of great local and international speakers. And each day will feature a different topic, discussing economic, political and social challenges for 2021. More information is available here: https://www.ideas.org.my/dinner2021/
