Fund for Repairing ‘Surau’ (Prayer Room) of Madrasah Diniah Ahmadiah

Madrasah Diniah Ahmadiah which located at Batu 10, Cheras, Selangor is a school for asnaf students. This school is a waqf land that build on year 2000. It guides these asnaf children until they turn to 25 years old or less.

Currently, there are 3 regular instructors and 2 part-time instructors, while the students are about 20 people which all of them are men. They live in ‘pondok’ or hut that was provided for free by this madrasah. No fees are being charged.

Their sources of fund are coming from the individual donors, organize programs and the contributions from the local community. According to the head of the madrasah, Ustaz Zakaria Awang or his real name is Abdul Rahim Bin Awang, he once experienced a situation where the madrasah electricity bill reached arrears of about RM4,000 due to the lack of funds during that time.



ABOUT SURAU REPAIR PROJECT

On 5 July 2020, the program’s committee visited this madrasah to make evaluation and discussion for further cooperation in this program. As a result, MISI7 offered some help to repair the damaged part of their surau and they agreed. So, MISI7 and one of the madrasah staff have listed the fund needed from the damage occured.

Here are the fund needed:

Preliminaries – RM520

Prayer’s space – RM5870

Place of Ablution – RM290

Kitchen – RM1730

Toilets – RM600

Awning (Optional) – RM11870

Painting job – RM1620

Site Cleaning – RM460

TOTAL = RM22,960



We hope that this fund can be a successful one in mid-October this year (2020) or before that.
