About Appeal

In 2022, I was diagnosed with 4th stage colorectal cancer. I had chemotherapy for eight cycles. Went into remission after about six months.

I moved to Langkawi February 2023, in October 2023, a CT scan showed returning mutating cells and rising tumor markers.
 
I keep fit, eat well, and stay active. I do commission writing and other work. I genuinely believe that having a purpose is crucial to my recovery—to continue using my writing skills and experience for good causes, whether promoting a dying performing art, a line to traditional art or helping launch a travel tech platform.

In the last two months –July/August 2024 –there are symptoms – blood, rapid weight loss, pain around the abdominal and liver areas –which are urgent calls for treatment.

The oncologist at the National Cancer Institute at Putrajaya recommends immediately starting chemotherapy for 12 cycles (once every two weeks) - intravenously at small doses and including hospital inpatient care for three days, two nights every cycle.

With no spouse or children and insufficient funds for treatment charges, hospital stays, temporary home rentals (while in Kuala Lumpur), transportation, and living expenses, I need to appeal for funds via crowdfunding.

 I am grateful for the help which enabled me to go through the last treatment.
