Fundraising for food aid for a community of Burmese refugees living at Jubilee Park, Ipoh, who are heavily affected by the MCO. They have 31 people living in close proximity. Aged 20-40. 29 males, 2 females. Some of them have been unemployed for over 6 months.

On 1 Apr, this group received aid from the Adun of Pasir Pinji http://dlvr.it/RSypWr. However, they are still in need of continuous support. Right now, they are still lacking fresh foodstuff and essential daily items.

We are now putting together a list of essentials and will likely disburse the aid in 2 batches over the first two weeks of April via a grocery delivery operator. The targeted amount is RM2000. This should work out to an allocation of RM4.60/pax per day over two weeks.

If the total fund exceeds RM2000, we will:

  • Provide continuous support for this community if the MCO extends beyond 14 Apr.
  • Support another refugee community in need.
During this period, we will be praying with them over the phone. Once the MCO is lifted, we will find an appropriate time for all of us to visit them and to take the opportunity to share the gospel!
