About Event

'Education for All' is a fundraising campaign organised by the Forward project from AIESEC in UNMC, where we are raising funds for Somali Disability Refugee Center (SDARIM) and Afghan Refugee Center (both under UNHCR) to support their operations and services.

Somali Disability Refugee Center (SDARIM)

Who Are They?

Somali Dsability Associations Refugee in Malaysia (SDARM) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded 2020 that assists the people with disability to built better lives through social integration, human rights advocacy, skill development, and useful representation in all aspects of life.

Vision

To see the people with disabilities participating in every aspect of the social, professional, economic and political lives.

Mission

To provide a platform for people with mobility disabilities to develop the confidence to lead independent, sustainable social and professional lives through awareness campaigns, education skill development, disability rights advocacy, social integration and employment generation.


How would SDARIM use the funds?

SDARIM has been facing financial difficulties lately due to the pandemic. The funds that they will received will be use to improve their assiociation to serve the disabled.

Afghan Refugee Center

Who Are They?

Afghan Refugee Center is a non-profit, refugee-led community based organization based in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, which seeks to support its community members in accessing programmes and services to assist them in their welfare and survival.

How would Afghan Refugee Center use the funds?

Afghan Refugee Center will be using the funds to buy essential needs for the refugees such as groceries and books, as well as improve their association.


Forward Project

Forward is a project in AIESEC in University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, where we organise volunteering programme and activities that targets the United Nations' 4th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), which is Quality Education.

Forward believe that education is a basic right for every child for them to release their creative thoughts and let all those beautiful ideas flow. Every child deserves equal access to education despite their background. Therefore, our mission is to lending a hand to those in need by empowering students in Malaysia to give back their knowledge ranging from school subjects to global issues. This ensures the wellbeing and future of our children.

In the past, Forward has conducted both physical and virtual activities, such as Arts of Speaking workshop (improve English vocabularies of refugee students), A Better Tomorrow Workshop (Environment Conservation) and such.

About the Campaign

Our aim for this campaign is to raise funds for SDARIM, Afghan Refugee Center and Forward, as well as spreading awareness about providing quality education to refugee children. Our goal for this campaign is achieve at least a minimum of RM2500. 70% of the funds will be allocated to SDARIM & Afghan Refugee Center to support their needs, while the rest of 30% will be allocated to Forward, where it will help the sustainability of the project to continue impact and spread awareness.
