Welcome to AIESEC in UNMC!
AIESEC is the world’s largest non-profit youth-run organisation. It is an international not-for-profit organisation that provides young people with leadership development. The organisation focuses in empowering young leaders to make a positive impact on society through actions.
AIESEC in UNMC has been around for 9 years now. We have just over 60 active members, all passionate living out our LC's culture and core values: Purposeful, Family oriented and Ownership. AIESEC in UNMC has been running social projects which targets various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to empower our community, which includes:
- Radiance (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being)
- Forward (SDG 4: Quality Education)
- Light Your Future Eureka (SDG 9: Decent Work and Economic Growth)
- Clean Our Plate (SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production)
In the face of the Covid-19 outbreak, our exchange programme which involve international volunteers have to be put on hold to flatten the curve. Meanwhile, AIESEC in UNMC continue by innovating our volunteering projects around community needs to stay relevant towards current Malaysia context. Currently, all of our volunteering programme will be conducted virtually, giving opportunity for the volunteers to make the world a better place during a pandemic while still practicing social distancing. Volunteers are now known as Local Virtual Volunteers (LVV).
The funds that we raised will be 100% used by our four projects, which allows them to be sustainable and organise more innovative key activities for our volunteers to contribute to our targeted communities.
