About Event

'Youth's Future' is a fundraising campaign organised by the Light Your Future, Eureka! (LYFE) project from AIESEC in UNMC, where we are raising funds for Eden Handicap to support their operations and services.

Eden Handicap

Who Are They?

Eden Handicap Service Centre Berhad is a charitable, non-profit and independent organization where their mission is to serve people of various disabilities in Penang since 1993.

The organisation is governed by members of Board of Directors where its base is located in Penang. The Directors are volunteers and do not receive any remuneration for their services rendered to the Centre.

Eden provides day to day care for OKUs with families and also provide accomodation for the homeless. Eden also conduct various programs that could largely benefit disabled people and helping them in sorts of ways.

Vision

Enable people with disabilities to lead independent and self-sufficient lives.

Mission

Provide opportunities in education, job training, job placement, independent living skills and reaching out to them with God’s love.


How would Eden Handicap use the funds?

Whenever Eden receives any funds, it will be used to provide meals for OKUs and training materials, employ teachers and trainers for OKUs. Currently, Eden requires funds to buy masks and gloves.

Rest assured that all donations are 100% channeled back to their social services and welfare programs, which these services are provided FREE to any person with disabilities from the community regardless of background, race or religion.

LYFE Project

LYFE is a project in AIESEC in University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, where we organise volunteering programme and activities that targets the United Nations' 8th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), which is Decent Work and Economic Growth .

Career path guidance is essential for youth especially for high school students who are about to step into the society. They should be provided with career insights and cultivation of soft skills related in order to flourish in their future careers.

Therefore, our mission is to provide advice to the youth in need of career path guidance and insights by hosting various events by inviting professionals from various industries but also interaction among youth ourselves.

In the past, LYFE has conducted both physical and virtual activities, such as Career Shift & Trends Conference , entrepreneurial mind conference and such.

About the Campaign

Our aim for this campaign is to raise funds for both Eden Handicap and LYFE, as well as spreading awareness about career planning for youths. Our goal for this campaign is achieve at least a minimum of RM2500. 70% of the funds will be allocated to Eden Handicap to support their needs, while the rest of 30% will be allocated to LYFE, where it will help the sustainability of the project to continue impact and spread awareness about the importance of planning a career.
