Our Charity Fundraiser

The Patient Welfare Fund (PWF) was established to provide further help to low-income patients by providing medical assistance, free pick-up services, groceries, and transportation allowance. A yearly outing, monthly birthday celebrations, and festive occasions are part of Maaedicare’s commitment to making patients feel at home and appreciated.

At Maaedicare, 70% of our patients earn below RM3,000 in monthly income household, while 40% earns below RM900 or are unemployed. With the patients needing three treatments a week, it takes a toll on our patients to afford continuous treatment unless more can be done to help them.

As part of our ongoing mission, one of our dialysis centres, Maaedicare Charity Dialysis Centre is organising a charity bowling fundraiser which will be held on the 17th December 2022 at Brem Mall Kepong.

The objectives of this fundraiser:

• to create health awareness and in particular, prevention of renal failure
• empowering kidney patients and their care partners, including family members or friends involved in their care, to enable life participation
• to collect funds which will be channeled to the Patient Welfare Fund

About Maaedicare

Established since 1994, MAAEDICARE is a foundation that advocates early prevention of kidney diseases and heart diseases, and provides highly-subsidised, quality treatment to poor and financially- challenged patients nationwide.

Now, Maaedicare is the second largest non-profit organisation in Malaysia providing subsidised treatment and care to over 760 patients at 11 dialysis centres nationwide. We are also expanding into other healthcare services, namely cardiac diagnostics and free clinics.
