The Befrienders is a non-profit organisation with the mission of alleviating distress and helping to reduce the risk of suicide amongst all sections of society; regardless of race, age, sex or religion. This is primarily achieved through confidential emotional support currently offered via a 24-hour telephone hotline (03-76272929).

We engage in outreach and advocacy efforts via talks, seminars and workshops to educate the public on relevant aspects of mental health and suicide prevention. At the moment, these are done via webinars.

'Healing Connections', a programme catered towards providing emotional support to suicide loss survivors (those who have lost someone to suicide) is suspended for the time being due to the pandemic.
