Young Women in Leadership & Development (YWILD Malaysia)

YWILD aspires to groom young women in leadership and development for them to become mentors who then will empower more young women to realise their dreams and carve a pathway for future-proof leaders.

YWILD Malaysia has been formed to join the global vision in achieving “Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step it Up for Gender Equality”. We would like to foster growth mindset among young women to empower them to come together and make this transformation possible. As the United Nations stresses that empowering young women is central to achieving the Sustainable Development goals. YWILD Malaysia is honoured to champion 8 out of 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We focus on our goals by embracing inclusivity where we encourage young women from all walks of life, especially those who are in the rural areas of Malaysia or the underprivileged to identify their full potential. As our tagline goes, “Giving wings to every young girl’s dreams”, I envision for every young girl to develop the courage to dream bigger, build the sufficient capacity to achieve their dreams through our leadership campaign (YwildLead) and to reach greater heights by getting the access to the needed facilities through our (YwildGrow) campaign.

WHAT WE DO

Our Campaigns
YWILD.ORG is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our youths are empowered by creating opportunities & strength.

As this is an association formed to help the young women to excel in leadership and development - especially in the rural areas in Malaysia, where we will be introducing two major campaigns:

MISSION

MINDSET INNOVATION
A guide for the younger generation of young women aged 13 to 30 to rewire their thinking pattern to foster growth mindset by breaking their fixed mindset that is largely being the barrier for their progress. This will be achieved through mindfulness practices such as yoga and other holistic approaches that could foster growth mindset:
  • Breaking the stereotypes
  • Thinking out of the box
  • Breaking the glass ceiling

LEADERSHIP QUALITIES INCULCATION
Needed for the next decade by introducing unique practices and approaches in leadership. This can be achieved through leadership camps, workshops and adventurous activities that can further enhance the young women’s leadership qualities. Areas of focus: Self-awareness, health care, grooming, educational development, mentoring, coaching, training, personality enhancement, sex education and financial planning.

DEVELOPMENT CENTRIC
When the right mindset is instilled in every young woman, the right qualities will be set in place, the right attitude to approach life will be shaped and this will allow them to shine both academically and spiritually which will eventually turn them into leaders with calibre.

Once they are identified as potential leaders, the young women will be guided to shine in the industry that they opt for. They will then be guided to choose the right education / career path to be independent in the socio-economic area. The fully groomed young women will proceed to mentoring the other young women to shine equally through a mentor-mentee programme.
